Welcome to our web site! We’re glad that you’re here to find out more about Caldwell United Methodist Church.
I’m beginning my second year as the pastor of the Caldwell congregation. Let me share with you some of the things I’ve learned about this congregation:
• Individuals matter. We take time each week in worship to share joys and concerns that are on people’s hearts and minds – and then we keep praying about them throughout the week. . . . One person has sent a card each week to someone who is away from home and slowly rehabbing after surgery. . . . One member is currently on a mission trip in Cambodia and is blogging to share her experience with us. . . . Three people oversee setting up the Caldwell Food Pantry for clients to use on the first Saturday of the month. . . . We believe that each person is a child of God, and how we relate to each other, and how we use our gifts and talents, impacts all of God’s children.
• Being “church” matters. We sat down together this Summer and had some good discussions about where we’re at as a congregation and what we need to work on to be a more vibrant, healthy part of the Body of Christ. Being a church that is alive, and living out its faith, matters to us.
• God matters. We put our faith in God. We seek to follow Jesus. We know the Holy Spirit is at work, and we try not to block the Spirit. We are growing in our faith, our love, our understanding of God and each other, and in God’s grace. God matters to us.
What matters to you? How can we help you on your faith journey?
