*CALL TO WORSHIP:
Leader: O God, just as the disciples heard Christ’s
words of promise
And began to eat the bread and
drink the wine in the suffering of a
Long remembrance and in the joy
of a hope, grant theat we may
Hear your words, spoken in each
thing of everyday affairs.
People: Coffee on our table in the morning; the simple gesture of
Opening a door to go out, free;
the shouts of children
In the
parks; a familiar song, sung by a unfamiliar face;
A
friendly tree that has not yet been cut down.
Leader:
May
simple things speak to us of your mercy, and tell us that life
Can
be good.
People: And may these sacramental gifts make us
remember those
Who do not receive them. Amen.

Healing
One, we are reminded so often in biblical narration that you are capable of miraculous
actions. But your miracles are not limited to these ancient times. People still
experience miracles in these ordinary, everyday times. We recall those many
miracles that have touched people within our own congregation. We are astounded
by those miracles that we witness each day. We are so thankful! Today, we offer
you this money as a sacred gesture of our gratitude. All praise and honor be
given to you! Amen.

Daily Prayer
Please
use this guided prayer as a way to pray daily for the whole world.
Together,
let us pray
For the
people of this congregation…
For
those who suffer and those in trouble…
For the
concerns of this local community…
For the
world, it’s peoples, and it’s leaders…
For the
Church universal – it’s leaders, it’s members, and it’s mission
In communion with the
saints…Amen
